Create framework and basketweave it together. Add eyes along the edge to dangle gems from. Add a briolette with a wirewrap to create  these fabulous earrings!

Empower yourself. Learn the basics of wirework. In this class you will learn about tools, wire and how to create headpins, eyepins, wrapped eyepins, chaining wrapped eyepins together, jump rings, spirals, shepherds hook earwires, and a clasp. Combine these techniques to culminate in a charm bracelet!

Fusing

Using fine silver wire and a butane torch, fuse your own links. Texture the links by using a variety of hammers and design stamps. Chain the links together or double chain them. Make a clasp and wear a bracelet out of class! With the leftover links, explore making organic links by running them through the rolling mill with various textures for some fabulous links you can’t buy anywhere!

Techniques covered include; Fusing, Sculpting, Texturing, Sizing and
Drawing a bead to add Dew Drops.
Try wrapping for a variation on the dewdrop.

In this class you will learn a coiling technique taken from coiled basketry and applied to wire.

While coiling you create eyes all around the outside of the bangle. From the eyes you dangle precious gemstones, small lampwork beads or pearls for a fabulous gypsy style bracelet with lots of color and movement!

In this class you will learn a coiling technique taken from coiled basketry and applied to wire. From there you will learn two styles of application.

The first is a coiling technique that binds wires together to create a frame that showcases a special bead. 

The second application uses simple wire components., While coiling you create eyes to dangle precious gemstones from.  Then join together the components with jump rings to create fabulous gypsy style chandelier earrings!

This Jewel is inspired by the Japanese Kanto Lantern Festival where the lit paper lanterns symbolize a ripe rice plant with unhusked golden grains. The festival is a prayer for a good harvest, the essence of life.

Using a basketweave technique on a small scale, and embellishing with pearls and crystals, make your own Lantern Jewel and light up the town!

Explore organic forms and textures using sheet metal and wire. Learn the processes of cutting, filing, texturing, forming and lacing sheet metal. Add pearls and spirals to finish off the lily with gracious form and color! Embellish the lily with a multitude of organic leaves.
